She practices under her maiden name as a tribute to her grandfather, who immigrated to the United States from Italy with only an elementary school education. S. in Biology from California State University of San Marcos in 2008, gathered neurosurgical research experience before medical school, then completed her medical degree at the University of California, Irvine in 2013.
Dr. Marinelli completed her Family Medicine residency alongside Dr. David Flick at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii. She holds board certification from the American Board of General Practice.
