Dr. Anita Lane grew up in Joliet, Illinois and became the first physician in her family. S. in Speech from Northwestern University in 1987, then completed medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Her residency in Internal Medicine took her back to Northwestern, where she trained under one of the country's leading academic programs.

After moving to Colorado Springs in 1994, Dr. Lane spent 17 years with Penrose-St. Francis Medical Group before founding Touchstone Internal Medicine in 2012. She holds board certification in Internal Medicine and the Fellow designation from the American College of Physicians. Her clinical focus centers on preventive health and working through diagnostically complex cases. Outside medicine, she has served on the boards of Centura Health, the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, and the Rocky Mountain Women's Film Festival.
