Soldara Integrative Family Medicine

Adult membership at Soldara Integrative Family Medicine costs $120 per month. A child membership runs $80 per month and applies only when an adult family member is also enrolled. Families of four or more with children 17 and under can join under a family plan capped at $400 per month. Enrollment pulls the monthly fee automatically on the day you joined.

Membership includes access to Dr. McDonald for visits of any length when needed, extended emergency hours, and portal access for quick questions that do not require an appointment. Members also receive an annual head-to-toe physical, annual preventative labs, a monthly newsletter, and access to Dr. McDonald's recommended reading library. Problem-focused visits for members cost only $40.

Soldara operates as a direct primary care practice, which means it does not bill insurance directly for membership fees. Members can seek reimbursement through their own insurance for problem-focused visit fees if their plan allows it. The DPC model pairs well with a high-deductible health plan. HSA, HRA, or FSA use for membership fees is something to discuss with your accountant.

Dr. McDonald has opted out of Medicare. She still welcomes Medicare patients as members, but Medicare does not reimburse for office visits at Soldara. Medicare patients pay directly through the membership structure.

Soldara offers a free Meet and Greet for all prospective patients before enrollment. This introductory meeting helps both you and Dr. McDonald confirm the practice is the right fit. You can request a meeting by phone, text, or through the contact form on the Soldara website.

Yes. Soldara offers telemedicine visits in certain cases. Members can also reach Dr. McDonald through the athenahealth patient portal for quick questions that do not require a full appointment. Dr. McDonald determines when a telehealth visit is clinically appropriate.

Soldara does not currently administer vaccines on-site. Dr. McDonald can arrange vaccination at another site when vaccines are indicated or desired. This applies to both adult and pediatric patients.

Soldara serves patients from birth through end of life. Dr. McDonald handles well child checks, pediatric mental health, sports physicals, and adult primary care. The practice does not provide prenatal care.

Annual preventative labs come included in the Soldara membership at no extra charge. For additional labs, members receive discounted rates when labs are paid through Soldara and drawn at the contracted lab. This keeps lab costs manageable for patients on high-deductible health plans.

Soldara offers shared medical appointments modeled after programs at the Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic. These are educational group visits for patients managing the same condition. Participants learn from Dr. McDonald and from each other's questions and experiences. This format works particularly well for patients managing complex or chronic conditions.
