Shoreline Endocrinology does not accept or bill health insurance for any services rendered. Patients pay directly for their care. However, patients may use their insurance for outside vendors such as labs, imaging, medications, and durable medical equipment. Patients with out-of-network benefits may also attempt reimbursement through their own plan.

Yes. Shoreline Endocrinology accepts HSA and FSA funds for payment. This makes the direct-pay model more accessible for patients who set aside pre-tax dollars for healthcare expenses.

The practice offers two options. The Pay-Per-Visit plan works well for one-time consultations or occasional follow-ups, with the ability to bundle visits for savings. The Membership Plan suits patients who need ongoing endocrine care and includes up to eight visits per year, routine laboratory testing, and same-day or next-day access for urgent needs. Membership enrollment begins after the first visit, and eligibility rests at the discretion of Dr. Abisogun.

All new patients start with an initial consultation and pay the associated fee at that visit. To book a consultation, prospective patients can fill out the appointment request form on the practice website. Referrals from other offices can be faxed to the practice for review.

Yes. Dr. Abisogun conducts visits in the office, by video conference, or by telephone, based on each patient's preference. This flexibility makes it easier for patients throughout the greater Savannah area to access specialty endocrinology care.

Yes. Members receive same-day or next-day access for urgent situations. This level of availability reflects the practice's commitment to responsive, individualized care.

The Shoreline Lifestyle Platform is an online tool included with membership at no additional cost. It provides guidance, progress tracking, and habit-building support between visits. Access is by invitation only through Alterrahealth. The practice invites members via email once they enroll.

Yes. Dr. Abisogun performs diagnostic neck ultrasounds and thyroid and lymph node biopsies directly in her office. She holds the AACE Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound and is the only endocrinologist in the Savannah area with this credential, meaning patients do not need a separate referral for these procedures.

Dr. Abisogun has opted out of Medicare. Medicare patients who wish to see Dr. Abisogun pay directly for their care and may not seek Medicare reimbursement for services received at the practice.

Shoreline Endocrinology treats the full range of diabetes types, including Type 1, Type 2, prediabetes, gestational diabetes, LADA, MODY, pancreatogenic diabetes, cystic fibrosis-related diabetes, transplant-related diabetes, and steroid-induced hyperglycemia. Dr. Abisogun also provides insulin pump management and continuous glucose monitoring support.
