The membership fee covers all copays, co-insurance, and deductibles for services at Patient Centered Primary Care. Members never receive a separate bill for care provided by Dr. Bishop. Patients should maintain their health insurance for lab tests, radiology, specialist visits, and hospital care.

Yes. Dr. Bishop bills your insurance for medical services and accepts what the insurer reimburses. He accepts most commercial and employer-sponsored insurance plans, as well as traditional Medicare and most Medicare Advantage programs. Your membership fee covers the remaining cost-sharing, so you will not receive additional bills for care at this practice.

Dr. Bishop guarantees same-day appointments for illness. Next-day appointments are available for less urgent matters. The practice keeps its panel at around 500 patients, which allows scheduling with virtually no hold time.

Standard office visits run 30 minutes. The comprehensive annual physical takes two hours. Dr. Bishop schedules appointments to start on time and gives each patient the full visit without rushing into the next appointment.

Yes. Dr. Bishop provides his personal cell phone number to every member at the start of their membership. He is available by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For urgent matters outside office hours, he will meet patients at the office.

The two-hour annual physical covers a thorough history and physical examination, EKG, spirometry, ankle brachial index testing, hearing and vision testing, and comprehensive lab work. Dr. Bishop also calculates your cardiovascular risk using the Pooled Cohort Equation and your osteoporosis fracture risk using the FRAX Score. The exam includes screening tools for sleep, depression, anxiety, prostate health, memory, activity, and nutrition.

Yes. Spouses, domestic partners, and children on the family's insurance plan up to age 26 qualify for the family membership. The family annual fee is $1,900. Each family member maintains a separate individual medical record.

If Dr. Bishop travels out of town, he remains reachable by cell phone. If he determines a patient needs an in-person visit, a backup physician will see that patient the same day.

Yes. If you choose to end your membership at any time, Patient Centered Primary Care refunds the remaining balance on a pro-rated basis.
