The annual retainer covers every primary care service the office provides, with no additional billing per visit. This includes extensive annual physicals, unlimited visits, house and workplace calls, routine lab work, x-rays, and diagnostics tailored to your age and health profile. Membership fees vary based on family configuration, from individuals to couples and families with children.

MD2 San Francisco does not bind members to an annual contract. You may cancel your membership at any time without any financial obligation. Dr. Fugaro or Dr. Margolin will work with you to transition your care to another physician of your choosing.

Yes. MD2 San Francisco gives each member direct access to both physicians' private cell phone numbers. You can call any time, day or night. If your primary physician is unavailable, Dr. Fugaro or Dr. Margolin will step in directly so you never go through an exchange or front desk.

MD2 physicians visit their patients in the hospital and manage care alongside specialists. Dr. Fugaro and Dr. Margolin do not hand hospitalized patients off to hospitalists. They stay involved as your advocate throughout your stay.

Yes. Your physician remains your primary contact regardless of where you travel. The practice prepares travel health plans in advance and coordinates care with MD2 partner physicians in other cities if you need in-person attention. MD2 also enrolls all members in a worldwide medical evacuation service.

As internists, Dr. Fugaro and Dr. Margolin specialize in adult care. The transition from pediatric to adult care varies by individual, and the physicians welcome a conversation about the right timing. Even before that transition, they encourage involvement and are happy to answer questions about a child's care.
