The monthly membership fee covers unlimited in-person and virtual visits with Dr. Riniker. There are no copays or hidden charges. Labs, medications, and specialist referrals carry separate costs. FSA and HSA funds cover the membership fee, and membership fees may be tax deductible.

Prospective patients start by scheduling a free 30-minute meet-and-greet with Dr. Riniker. That visit gives you a chance to discuss your health goals and ask questions about the practice. Dr. Riniker uses that time to determine whether the practice is a good fit for your needs. No medical decisions take place during this visit, and there is no financial obligation.

Standard visits run 60 minutes. Dr. Riniker structures appointments to allow enough time for thorough conversation and examination. Same-day and next-day scheduling is available for urgent or sick visits.

Ikigai Family Physician contracts directly with patients, not insurance companies. The practice does not bill commercial insurance for membership fees. Dr. Riniker is a Medicare provider, though the practice does not contract with commercial Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans. Patients on Medicaid may join the waitlist.

The practice prefers cash, checks, or automatic bank transfer. Credit cards, FSA cards, and HSA cards are also accepted, with a 4% convenience fee. Membership fees may qualify as a tax deduction.

Yes. Dr. Riniker offers telehealth visits by phone or video. She also makes home visits within Rio Rancho and Corrales. Patients can choose the visit format that works best for them, including in-office at Dr. Riniker's home in the Loma Colorado neighborhood of Rio Rancho.

Yes. Dr. Riniker cares for patients across all life stages, from newborns to older adults. Services include newborn exams, well child checks, sports physicals, well woman exams, and annual physicals for adults.

Yes. Dr. Riniker performs immigration physicals as a certified US Civil Surgeon. The exam fee is $250 per person and covers the medical history and physical examination required for I-693 status adjustment. Laboratory screening tests and any required immunizations carry additional costs.

The practice offers a broad range of services alongside routine primary care. Dr. Riniker performs in-office procedures including point-of-care ultrasound, joint injections, trigger point injections, skin biopsies, lesion removals, Nexplanon insertion, and IUD insertion. She also manages chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, depression, and anxiety.

Yes. Dr. Riniker conducts visits in both English and Spanish. Patients who prefer to communicate in Spanish receive full care in their preferred language.
