About
At Five Journeys, co-founders Wendie Trubow MD, MBA and Edward Levitan MD bring deep functional medicine expertise to patients in Newton and Back Bay Boston. The two physicians opened the practice in 2016 after leading Visions HealthCare together for eight years. During that tenure, they served more than 20,000 patients and built the largest functional medicine practice in the country.
Five Journeys organizes its clinical approach around five core dimensions of health: Structural, Chemical, Emotional, Social, and Spiritual. The practice pursues root causes rather than symptom management. Services span primary care, women's health, pediatric care, geriatric care, hormone therapy, allergy treatment, IV therapy, dry needling, infrared sauna, and performance recovery coaching. Specialty lab testing covers gut health, microbiome analysis, food sensitivities, heavy metals, mold, hormones, and Galleri cancer screening. Members choose from Standard, Silver, or Gold plans starting at $129 per month. Gold members receive same-day telehealth, concierge coordinator services, and complimentary wellness sessions each year.
