Ament Headache Center operates as a direct pay practice. Patients pay in full at the time of service. The practice does not contract with any health insurers or government-sponsored plans, and visits are not reimbursable through Medicare or Medicaid. Many private insurance plans do cover out-of-network specialist visits, and the practice provides patients with a completed HCFA form to submit for potential reimbursement directly to them.

The practice does not bill insurance directly. However, most private insurance plans include out-of-network benefits that may cover a portion of your visit. Ament Headache Center gives you a completed HCFA claim form to submit to your insurer. Your insurer then sends any reimbursement directly to you.

Initial appointments run approximately 60 minutes. Dr. Ament uses that time to review your headache history, prior treatments, current medications, and any relevant test results. He conducts a full neurological examination before developing a personalized care plan.

Yes. The Good Karma Discount Program gives any patient a $50 discount on their next visit after completing four hours of volunteer work with a local charity. The Refer-A-Friend Program offers a $50 credit to both the referring patient and the new patient they bring in. The practice also runs a Barter/Trade Program for patients who want to discuss exchanging goods or services for care.

Ament Headache Center has two locations. The Denver office sits in the Empire Park complex at 1385 S Colorado Blvd, Suite A-210. The Colorado Springs office is at Alliance Health Partners, 3920 N Union Blvd, Suite 160. Both locations operate by appointment only, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

The practice treats a broad range of headache disorders, including all migraine types, tension headache, cluster headache, cervicogenic headache, post-traumatic headache, medication overuse headache, and chronic daily headache. Dr. Ament also manages complex neurological conditions such as trigeminal neuralgia, occipital neuralgia, benign intracranial hypertension, and cerebral venous sinus thrombosis.

Yes. In addition to medication management, Ament Headache Center offers Botox treatments for migraine, occipital nerve blocks, other cranial nerve blocks, and trigger point injections. Dr. Ament recommends specific interventions based on each patient's diagnosis and history.

Yes. After your appointment, the practice communicates your care plan to your referring physician and any other relevant providers. Dr. Ament also directs patients to outside resources when needed, coordinating those referrals to avoid unnecessary delays or detours in care.
