About

At the Sheldon Sowell Center for Health, Dr. Cara Pride and Dr. Walker Pride lead one of the most established concierge practices in the country. The original founders, Dr. Jonathan Sheldon and Dr. Heather Sowell, launched the practice in 1998 in Englewood, Colorado. " The practice relocated to Denver in 2004 and evolved into its current form. In 2025, Dr. Cara Pride and Dr. Walker Pride assumed ownership after the founders retired.

The practice caps each physician's panel at 120 patients. That limit allows each doctor to spend approximately 13 hours per patient annually. Every staff member holds either an MD or a BSN degree. The practice employs no medical assistants or physician extenders. Phones ring live around the clock: staff answers during business hours, and the doctors answer directly after hours. Each patient receives a wallet card with the doctors' office, home, and cell numbers plus email addresses. The practice has earned national media coverage from outlets including Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal, PBS NewsHour, and ABC World News Tonight.
