About
Dr. Rob Lamberts holds board certification in both internal medicine and pediatrics, a combination that lets him care for patients from childhood through adulthood. He earned his undergraduate degree at Houghton College and his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He then completed a combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency at Indiana University in Indianapolis.
Dr. Lamberts arrived in Augusta in 1994 and co-founded Evans Medical Group, which he built into a successful multi-physician practice over nearly two decades. In February 2013, he launched one of Georgia's first direct primary care practices, driven by a desire to return to patient-centered medicine. He later joined forces with Dr. Ed Boland and Davis Mellick to form Welcome Health. Outside the office, Dr. Lamberts plays guitar, mandolin, piano, and cello, and enjoys kayaking, bicycling, and hiking with his wife Beth.
