Dr. Marion Woerner grew up in Austin, Texas, and earned her undergraduate degree in History with a Religious Studies focus from the University of Texas at Austin. 0, Highest Honors, and an induction into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She went on to complete medical school and her pediatric residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHSC). During her residency, she earned Intern of the Year, Best Resident Teacher, and the Marnie Rose Award. Her peers selected her for an additional year as Chief Resident.
After residency, Dr. Woerner gained broad clinical experience across hospital, emergency, and outpatient settings.
