Dr. Liz Twardon brought an unusual path to medicine. She started her career as a reporter at the Detroit News at age 21, covering everything from police beats to front-page features. Her French fluency earned her a three-month fellowship at the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Lambarene, Gabon. She completed her Family Medicine residency at a Community Health Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, serving primarily Spanish-speaking and Hmong patients. A two-month exchange in Chiang Mai, Thailand deepened her training in infectious diseases. Dr. Twardon speaks Polish, English, Spanish, and French.
