About

Dr. Leslie Koretz grew up on the shores of Lake Ontario in upstate New York, outside Rochester. During her school years, she trained seriously in dance and attended several summer ballet programs. S. in Biobehavioral Health from Pennsylvania State University in 2007, with minors in Biology and Neuroscience. At Penn State, she participated in the Orchesis Dance Company and the Penn State Cycling Club.

After graduating, Dr. Koretz spent a year as a patient care technician at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Shadyside Hospital, working in a cardiac step-down unit. O. from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012 and completed her Family Medicine residency with Mercy Health in Muskegon, MI in 2015. She holds board certification from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. After residency, she practiced in Waynesville and Lake Lure before opening Koretz Family Health in Asheville. The same outdoor passions that drew her to family medicine, including mountain biking, hiking, running, and swimming, brought her to the mountains of western North Carolina. She has several rescue pets and counts comedy, animals, and trying new foods among her interests. Her favorite part of family medicine is building lasting relationships and helping patients navigate their health across every stage of life.
