Texas Internists enrolls new patients through its Premier Plan in partnership with North Texas Preferred Health Partners (NTPHP). com. A plan coordinator will walk you through the enrollment process and answer any questions about membership benefits.

Membership includes guaranteed same-day or next-business-day appointments with Dr. Lau between 8AM and 5PM, Monday through Friday. Members also receive 24/7 direct access to Dr. Lau by phone, text, and email. The plan covers an annual executive physical encompassing health, nutrition, fitness, and life-coaching. Additional benefits include care coordination with specialists, complimentary valet parking, and healthy snacks at each visit.

Yes. Dr. Lau maintains in-network status with most major commercial insurance plans. The practice also accepts Medicare and Tricare. Benefits vary by plan, so contacting your insurance provider for specific details is a good step before enrolling.

Dr. Lau sees all members directly. Same-day and next-business-day access guarantees a visit with him, not an associate. On the rare occasions he travels for vacation or medical conferences, roughly two to three weeks per year, a qualified covering physician provides access in his place.

Members reach Dr. Lau directly by cell phone, text, or email 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This direct line is especially useful when you are out of town or need a timely answer outside of regular office hours.

Texas Internists runs a full on-site diagnostic suite. Dr. Lau performs EKG, Holter monitoring, spirometry, resting echocardiogram, and stress echo testing at the practice. Rapid on-site tests cover COVID-19, influenza, RSV, strep, pregnancy, urinary infection, and glucose monitoring. When needed, Dr. Lau also orders advanced heart testing, radiology studies such as X-rays, CT, and MRI, and laboratory testing.

The practice provides comprehensive care for patients age 14 and over. Dr. Lau manages both acute and long-term conditions, and places a strong emphasis on preventive care and health maintenance for patients across all adult age groups.

Yes. Texas Internists uses the HEALOW patient portal, which members access through a computer, smartphone, or tablet. The portal lets patients check lab results and view upcoming appointments securely. Patients who need help logging in or resetting a password can call the front desk at 972-993-5040.
