The practice does not bill insurance and sits out of network for all private plans. Dr. Abuav has also opted out of Medicare. Patients pay directly at the time of service. For non-Medicare patients, the practice provides a superbill upon request, which patients can submit to their insurer for potential reimbursement. Patients can still use their insurance for bloodwork and pathology, with the exception of Medicare HMO plans.

New patient standard appointments are $425. Established patient visits range from $325 to $425 depending on complexity. Extended appointments are $850. New autoimmune consultations are $1,500 and require a $250 non-refundable deposit. Follow-up autoimmune visits range from $425 to $850. Telehealth visits are $425. Cosmetic consultations are $425. An additional $100 to $200 may apply when extensive record review is required. Credit card payments carry a 3% processing fee.

Yes. Dr. Abuav offers telehealth visits for California residents only. The fee is $425 for most visits. Patients email photos to the practice ahead of the appointment to improve the quality of the consultation. Telehealth visits work well for follow-ups and cases where an in-person exam is not required.
