Pinnacle Internal Medicine does not bill or involve health insurance for membership services. The practice treats patients regardless of their insurance status. Members who prefer to use insurance or Medicare for labs, imaging, or medications can still do so.

Yes, Medicare patients can join Pinnacle Internal Medicine. Medicare does not cover the monthly membership fee. However, Dr. Peila can still order labs, imaging, and medications that Medicare covers, and he can refer members to Medicare-accepting specialists.

Pinnacle Internal Medicine draws blood in the office at up to 90% savings over standard lab pricing. Common panels including hemoglobin A1c, complete metabolic panel, complete blood count, and lipid panel each run about $4. A Vitamin D test costs $15, compared to $50-$100 at other labs.

Yes. Dr. Peila offers virtual visits by phone or video for members who are away from Billings. Some concerns require a physical exam, and Dr. Peila will ask you to come in for those. In-person visits carry no additional cost beyond the membership.
