About
At Peppermint Pediatrics in Zionsville, Indiana, Dr. Janine Zee-Cheng brings a distinctive depth of expertise to primary care pediatrics. She holds dual board certifications in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care, along with credentials as an IBCLC and Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. Her clinical background spans nearly a decade in the Pediatric ICU at Riley Hospital for Children before she built this practice around meaningful, unhurried relationships with families.
The practice serves children from birth through college graduation or age 22. Dr. Zee-Cheng keeps her panel intentionally small to ensure every family reaches her directly, by personal cell or email, around the clock. The office sits on five tranquil acres outside Zionsville, with no waiting room and only one family present at a time. Clinical offerings go well beyond routine well-child care. She manages complex conditions including POTS, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and chronic fatigue. She provides neurodiversity-informed and trauma-informed care, lactation support, mental wellness sessions, car seat safety checks, dry needling, and professional piercing services. In-house rapid testing for strep, RSV, and flu is free for members.

The practice cares for patients from birth through college graduation or age 22. Whether your child is a newborn or a college student, Dr. Zee-Cheng provides continuous, relationship-based primary care throughout those years.
Yes. Members receive same-day or next-day sick visits in most cases. Because Dr. Zee-Cheng limits her panel size, she keeps her schedule accessible for families when illness or concerns arise.
Mental wellness is a strong clinical focus at Peppermint Pediatrics. Dr. Zee-Cheng offers a Wellness Package of four 50-minute sessions for $880. These sessions never expire and members may use them for the enrolled child or a parent and guardian. Topics include ADHD, anxiety, depression, sleep troubles, phobias, mindfulness, behavior coaching, conflict resolution, and parenting techniques. Membership is required to purchase the Wellness Package.
Dr. Zee-Cheng holds her International Board Certified Lactation Consultant credential and provides comprehensive lactation services to members. She completed over 100 hours of lactation-specific education and more than 1,000 hours of clinical lactation management. The initial consult is $280, and subsequent 60-minute sessions cost $200. In-home visits are available for an additional fee. Membership is required for lactation services.

Dr. Zee-Cheng welcomes questions and conversations about vaccines, but the practice does not enroll or retain families who decline routine childhood vaccines. Community flu vaccines and Moderna Spikevax are available to non-members as well.
The practice is currently closed to new enrollments. Dr. Zee-Cheng limits her panel to maintain the level of access and care her members expect. Families interested in joining may add their names to the waitlist and watch the practice's social media accounts for enrollment updates.
Several services at Peppermint Pediatrics do not require membership. Community vaccines, professional piercing for ages six and up, dry needling for adults 18 and older, and car seat checks for non-members are all available without enrolling. Members receive additional perks, including unlimited car seat checks, free in-house rapid testing, and access to the Wellness Package and lactation services.
