Membership includes 10 appointments per year, an annual comprehensive physical and wellness exam, an annual flu shot, a comprehensive lab panel, prescription refills, phone and video appointments, secure messaging, coordination of hospital and specialty care, preoperative examinations, and completion of simple forms. Members who need additional visits pay $59 per appointment.

Routine appointments run a minimum of 24 minutes. The initial wellness evaluation runs 85 minutes. That gives Dr. Henderson meaningful time to listen, explore underlying causes, and build a personalized care plan for each patient.

The practice does not bill health insurance or Medicare. It contracts directly with patients. This arrangement gives Dr. Henderson full control over clinical decisions and allows the practice to offer wholesale pricing on labs, imaging, and medications. Patients can still use high-deductible insurance, HSAs, or Medical Sharing Plans alongside their membership.

Yes. Modern Internal Medicine works well alongside high-deductible insurance plans and Health Savings Accounts. Patients with Medical Sharing Plans are also welcome. The practice provides itemized invoices that patients can submit to their insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Modern Internal Medicine works with partner networks to negotiate exclusive discounts of 50 to 90 percent on medications, labs, and imaging. The practice cross-checks pricing to find the lowest available rate for each patient. These discounts are often lower than standard insurance co-pays.

Yes. Dr. Henderson offers phone and video appointments for routine and urgent concerns. He also makes home and worksite visits. Patients traveling away from home can often receive diagnosis and treatment remotely, with prescriptions sent to a local pharmacy.

Yes. Medicare patients sign a one-time waiver stating that neither the patient nor the doctor will bill Medicare directly for practice services. Medicare continues to cover lab testing, imaging, prescriptions, hospitalizations, and specialty care.

The Wellness Optimization program is included in all memberships. Dr. Henderson delivers personalized dietary analysis and counseling, exercise programs tailored to all fitness levels, stress management strategies, and plans targeting diabetes and hypertension remission.
