Meristem Family Medicine

Meristem Family Medicine charges $150 per month for individual adult membership. Couples can join together at $270 per month. A dedicated Menopause Care plan also runs $150 per month and includes a one-time onboarding fee of $150. All plans carry no co-pays, no deductibles, and no surprise bills. The practice does not require an annual commitment; members can cancel anytime with 30 days written notice.

Meristem is temporarily pausing new memberships to protect the quality of care for current members. Prospective patients can join the waitlist, and the practice will reach out as soon as enrollment reopens.

Meristem does not accept insurance for membership fees. The flat monthly membership covers the full scope of primary care services with no co-pays or deductibles. Members who carry health insurance can still use it for hospitalizations, specialist visits, or prescriptions. For lab work, the practice partners with Quest Diagnostics and offers wholesale pricing that often costs less than a standard insurance co-pay.

Meristem accepts card, cash, ACH, Venmo, and Zelle for membership payments. Many members use HSA or FSA funds for eligible medical expenses. Check with your plan administrator to confirm what qualifies under your specific account.

New patient visits and extended consultations run 60 minutes. Follow-up, sick, and video visits run 30 minutes. Dr. Mekrut offers same-day appointments and extended hours by appointment. Members can also reach Dr. Mekrut directly through Spruce, the practice's secure messaging platform, for questions and updates between visits.

Yes. Meristem offers secure video visits for follow-up care, sick visits, and ongoing management. Members schedule virtual appointments through the same online scheduling link used for in-person visits. Dr. Mekrut responds to messages throughout the workday via Spruce.

Meristem serves adults 18 years and older. The practice does not currently provide care to children ages 0 to 4.

Meristem does not provide inpatient hospital care. If a member requires hospitalization, a hospitalist team manages that care. Dr. Mekrut stays in communication throughout the process to support continuity of care.

Meristem covers a broad range of services under one membership. These include chronic disease management, medical weight loss, mental and behavioral health care, contraception counseling, routine gynecological care, preventive screenings, heart and metabolic health, and nutrition support. The practice also performs in-office procedures like wart and skin tag removal, EKG, and point-of-care testing for strep, flu, COVID, pregnancy, and urinalysis.

The Menopause Care plan focuses specifically on women navigating perimenopause and menopause. Dr. Mekrut holds the Menopause Society Certified Practitioner credential and tailors each plan to the member's health history, preferences, and goals. Care includes hormone therapy when appropriate, lifestyle and wellness guidance, comprehensive record review, and health screening recommendations. Members access both in-person and virtual visits and can message Dr. Mekrut directly throughout their care.
