About

At MapleTree Healing, Dr. Priya Carden built Eugene's first Direct Primary Care practice on a simple conviction: the physician-patient relationship is sacred. She opened the clinic in 2015 after years as a PeaceHealth Hospitalist and primary care physician. Eugene Magazine has voted her a Top Doctor every year from 2016 through 2024.

Dr. Carden keeps her panel well below the typical primary care physician's patient load. That focus allows 45-minute appointments, same-day visits, house calls, and direct phone and email access. The practice covers a wide clinical range: internal medicine, palliative and hospice care, perimenopause and menopause hormone health, gender affirming care, geriatrics, and preventive medicine. Members access deeply discounted labs, medications, and imaging. The Health Equity Fund accepts donations and bartering to help patients who cannot afford the full monthly fee. NPR's All Things Considered and local NBC news have both featured the practice.
