Monthly fees at LakeshoreMD vary by age. Children and teens under 20 pay $25 per month when a parent or guardian is also enrolled, or $40 per month without a parent enrolled. Adults ages 20 to 44 pay $50 per month. Adults ages 45 to 64 pay $75 per month. Patients 65 and older pay $85 per month. LakeshoreMD also charges a one-time non-refundable enrollment fee of $75.

LakeshoreMD does not bill or participate in any private or government health plans. Members pay a flat monthly fee directly to the practice. LakeshoreMD encourages patients to carry health insurance for emergency care, hospitalizations, specialist visits, and other services outside the practice.

Yes, LakeshoreMD accepts Medicare and Medicaid patients. However, the practice does not submit membership fees to Medicare or Medicaid for reimbursement. Members sign a waiver acknowledging this. Patients can still use Medicare or Medicaid for specialist visits, labs, imaging, and hospitalizations.

LakeshoreMD offers same-day or next-day access for acute care visits. The practice also provides after-hours and weekend access when needed. All visits require an appointment; the practice does not accept walk-ins.

The membership covers all routine and acute primary care visits with no copays or per-visit charges. It includes chronic disease management, preventive and wellness care, school and sports physicals, and telehealth visits. Members also receive direct access to Dr. Mehra by phone, text, and email. Many in-office procedures are included, along with in-office testing such as EKGs, strep screens, and glucose checks.

Yes. Dr. Mehra offers virtual visits as part of the membership. Members can also reach her by phone, text, and email for non-urgent questions and follow-up communication.

Prospective patients complete an enrollment form on the LakeshoreMD website to join the waitlist. When a membership opens, the practice sends an enrollment link by email. Patients who cannot complete the form online can call the practice directly to be added to the waitlist.

LakeshoreMD does not currently administer vaccinations. Dr. Mehra can review vaccination history and discuss travel vaccination needs. Local health departments and pharmacies in the Grand Haven area offer vaccinations, and many pharmacies bill directly to insurance.

No. LakeshoreMD does not prescribe opioids for chronic pain. Dr. Mehra can discuss alternative approaches and refer patients to pain specialists when appropriate.

Members may cancel with 30 days written notice. If a patient later wishes to rejoin, LakeshoreMD accepts re-enrollment on a space-available basis. The practice charges a $200 re-enrollment fee for any member who left by choice or due to non-payment.
