Figtree Family Medicine

The standard DPC membership costs $185 per month. That flat fee covers most primary care services with no co-pays and no surprise charges for common procedures. Figtree charges a one-time enrollment fee equal to the individual monthly rate, with a $500 maximum for families. A menopause-only membership is available at $225 per month, with a $100 enrollment fee and a six-month minimum commitment.

Figtree Family Medicine does not accept or bill insurance for membership services. The practice does welcome Medicare patients but does not bill Medicare. Members should keep an insurance policy for hospitalizations or specialist care. The practice recommends pairing membership with a high-deductible plan, and Dr. Schulman actively helps members find discounted lab rates, lower cash prices on imaging, and more affordable medication options.

Figtree currently accepts new patients through a waitlist only. The practice expects to open new memberships in Spring 2026. Prospective patients can join the waitlist through the practice website and indicate whether they want a full DPC membership or the menopause-only membership.

Appointments run 30 to 90 minutes with no waiting room. The practice schedules same-day or next-day visits during business hours. Members may schedule up to 36 visits per year without any co-pays. Dr. Schulman also offers video visits through a secure EMR portal or via FaceTime.

Yes. Members reach Dr. Schulman directly by cell phone, text, or email. She also maintains after-hours availability for urgent needs. This direct access is part of every standard membership.

Yes. Figtree offers a dedicated perimenopause and menopause membership for women who need mid-life hormonal care but do not require full primary care coverage. This membership costs $225 per month with a $100 enrollment fee and a six-month minimum. It includes an initial 60-minute consultation, body composition analysis, a personalized care plan, and access to hormone therapy or non-hormonal alternatives. Dr. Schulman holds specialty certifications in women's hormone therapy and HRT and breast cancer management.

Yes. Figtree Family Medicine serves patients of all ages. Dr. Schulman particularly enjoys caring for multiple generations within the same family.

Every new member receives three free yoga classes upon enrollment and discounted membership and programming at Roots to Wings Yoga and Healing Center, located next door to the practice. Figtree also pilots a free five-week gentle yoga class series exclusively for members on Fridays at the Roots to Wings studio. Dr. Schulman, a 200-hour certified yoga teacher, leads classes alongside practice assistant Beth Houlihan.

The practice caps its panel at 500 patients. That limit gives Dr. Schulman the time to conduct thorough visits, maintain same-day availability, and build lasting relationships with each patient.

Your insurance continues to work as usual at other providers, hospitals, and pharmacies. Dr. Schulman orders referrals, labs, and tests just as any primary care physician would. Members with HMO plans that require an in-network primary care gatekeeper should check with their insurer before enrolling, as those plans may not pair seamlessly with a DPC membership.
