About

At Chicago Cornea Consultants, six board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologists deliver surgical vision correction, corneal disease care, and comprehensive eye services across Chicago, Highland Park, Hoffman Estates, and Arlington Heights. Dr. Randy J. Epstein co-founded the practice in 1986 and built it into one of the Chicago area's leading corneal and refractive surgery centers. Dr. Parag Majmudar now leads the team as CEO, continuing that legacy alongside colleagues Dr. Rachel Epstein, Dr. Maria Rosselson, and Dr. Neel Vaidya. Dr. Dena Ballouz joins the team in September 2026.

The practice has earned national recognition from Newsweek as both top ophthalmologists and top cataract surgeons. Chicago Magazine has repeatedly named its physicians among the top doctors in the city. Chicago Cornea Consultants introduced LipiFlow thermal pulsation first in Chicago and the Vivity intraocular lens first in the nation. The team has performed over 50,000 procedures and has offered corneal cross-linking since 2010, accumulating more CXL experience than any other practice in the metro Chicago area. Surgeons serve as global educators, training the next generation of ophthalmologists in their techniques. The Hoffman Estates office houses an accredited Office-Based Surgical Suite on the campus of St. Alexius Medical Center.
