Chesapeake Endocrinology offers three tiers. The Premium Care tier, covering endocrinology only, starts at $169 per month paid yearly or $194 per month paid monthly. The Comprehensive Care tier, which adds primary care, starts at $209 per month paid yearly or $234 per month paid monthly. A $150 membership initiation fee applies to all new members. A fee-for-service option also exists for patients who prefer to pay per visit.

The Premium Care tier includes six visits per year with the endocrinology team, diabetes educators, and nutritionists. The Comprehensive Care tier includes ten visits per year and adds primary care with Dr. Telford serving as both PCP and endocrinologist. Both tiers include same-day appointments, no copays, priority booking, prescription refills between appointments, CGM and insulin pump downloads, and medication prior authorizations.

No. The practice operates out-of-network with all insurances. Patients pay directly for membership or per-visit fees. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may submit your bills for reimbursement. The practice plans to provide a complimentary tool to help patients submit out-of-network claims using a phone photo of their bill.

Yes. Chesapeake Endocrinology accepts HSA, FSA, and HRA credit and debit cards. These accounts can cover membership fees and other eligible expenses at the practice.

New patient visits run up to sixty minutes. Follow-up visits run thirty minutes. Both tiers include same-day appointment availability for urgent concerns.

Yes. The practice supports communication between visits through portal messages, text messaging, and phone calls. Members also receive prescription refills and medication prior authorizations between scheduled appointments.

Yes. Women's health is a core focus at Chesapeake Endocrinology. Dr. Telford holds the Menopause Society Certified Practitioner credential and treats perimenopause, menopause, polycystic ovary syndrome, and hormone disorders. The practice also runs The Second Spring, a community program led by nutritionist Ginny Mirenzi that supports women through menopause with nutrition and lifestyle guidance. Four sessions cost $150 total.

The practice offers CGM and insulin pump training and support, including device downloads and interpretation. Certified diabetes educators work alongside Dr. Telford to help patients select and manage the right technology for their lifestyle.

Dr. Onala Telford leads the practice as the board-certified endocrinologist and physician. The team also includes two registered dietitian-nutritionists and certified diabetes educators: Jo Ellen Condon, RDN, LDN, CDCES, who holds over thirty years of dietetics experience, and Ginny Mirenzi, RDN, CDCES, who also brings over thirty years of nutrition experience.
