About

At the Brigham Executive Health Program, patients receive a thorough, personalized medical evaluation through one of Harvard Medical School's major teaching hospitals. Brigham and Women's Hospital sits among the top clinical and research institutions in the world. The program brings that depth of expertise directly to each executive health visit.

Dr. Ahmed Salama leads the clinical team as the program's Lead Clinician. The program structures each visit around a one-day core physical exam. Before the visit, a physician connects with each patient by phone to review health history and build a personalized testing plan. A dedicated program coordinator personally guides each patient through every appointment on exam day. After the visit, patients receive a detailed report with results and recommendations. The program also connects patients to specialists across more than 40 clinical areas, including through the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center for adult oncology care.

The Executive Health Core Physical Exam covers a comprehensive set of lab tests and screenings in a single day. Tests include a blood cell count, lipid profile, kidney function markers, electrolytes, glucose, hemoglobin A1c, liver enzymes, thyroid function, vitamin D, and a 12-lead ECG. A physician conducts a complete physical exam and extended review following all testing. Additional tests such as a cardiac stress test, Pap smear, or colonoscopy require a separate discussion during the pre-visit consultation.
