That fee covers membership benefits such as 24/7 direct physician access, same-day appointments, monthly health reviews, and specialty referral coordination. Office visit charges bill separately to your insurance. The annual membership fee does not cover individual office visit costs.

Yes. Membership does not replace health insurance. Innovare Medicine submits claims to your insurance for office visits. If your plan requires a co-pay, the practice collects it at the time of your visit. Health insurance plans are unlikely to reimburse your annual membership fee.

Yes. Members reach Dr. Lu directly by phone, email, or telemedicine 24 hours a day, seven days a week. That access extends through weekends and while members travel domestically or internationally. Dr. Lu holds active medical licenses in both Massachusetts and Florida to support care across state lines.

Yes. The practice offers same-day appointments for urgent concerns, available in person or via telemedicine. Telemedicine visits work whether you are at home, at work, or traveling. This helps members address immediate needs without unnecessary emergency room visits.

Innovare Medicine is the only concierge practice in Boston that combines primary care and nephrology in a single physician relationship. Dr. Lu holds board certification in both internal medicine and nephrology. She applies her research background to go beyond standard clinical guidelines and focuses on root-cause thinking, early detection, and precision-driven disease management. She also conducts a monthly health review for each member, independent of scheduled visits.

Dr. Lu manages the full spectrum of kidney care, from early-stage chronic kidney disease through advanced stages. Her services include kidney disease management, dialysis care coordination, and kidney transplant coordination. She also evaluates and manages conditions that drive kidney risk, including cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and diabetes. Patients with stage 4 or 5 kidney disease have found her expertise in slowing or halting disease progression particularly valuable.

Yes. Innovare Medicine provides on-site nutritional consultations through a nutritionist who specializes in kidney disease, heart disease, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and obesity. Nutritional guidance integrates directly with each member's clinical care plan.

Yes. Innovare Medicine intentionally limits enrollment to preserve the quality and continuity of care each member receives. Once the practice reaches its enrollment limit, it maintains a waiting list for prospective patients.
