Tonya Cramer, MD, MPH, DABOM, DACLM, DABPM, DIBLM, holds quadruple board certification in Preventive Medicine, Obesity Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, and international certification as a Lifestyle Medicine Intensivist. She also holds a Master of Public Health and is a current Fellow of Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine. Dr. Cramer trained at Loma Linda University and built an extensive career in institutional medicine before joining Essential Health in late 2023. She previously served as assistant program director at Loma Linda University, where she developed and sustained the first inpatient Lifestyle Medicine service. She also served as Medical Director for a nationally recognized corporate wellness program for General Motors in California and led employee health clinic development for Station Casinos in Las Vegas. Her clinical focus includes preventing and reversing metabolic and cardiovascular disease, weight management, hormone regulation, optimized cancer support, and lifestyle medicine. Dr. Cramer is passionate about helping patients heal from chronic disease through a whole-person approach. She practices primarily at the Cary location with limited hours at Raleigh.
