Steven Manning, MD, earned his undergraduate degree in exercise physiology from East Carolina University in 2002. He then completed his MD at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in 2008. His residency in Family Medicine took place at Brody and Vidant Medical Center, formerly known as Pitt County Memorial. During that training, he rose to serve as both Junior Chief Resident and Chief Resident.
A Williamston native, Dr. Manning returned to his hometown after residency to open Martin Family Medicine. He later founded AccessMedicine as an independent, subscription-based practice focused on keeping health care centered on patients and families. Today he holds roles as Medical Director for Urgent Care Down East in Washington, NC, Vice Chief of Staff at Martin General Hospital in Williamston, and Affiliate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at ECU. His clinical focus covers family medicine and primary care, including diabetes, high blood pressure, anxiety, depression, allergies, and UTIs. Outside medicine, he is a loving husband, proud father of three children, and a servant of The Lord Jesus in all he does.
