Dr. Steven Manning grew up in Williamston, NC, and has deep roots in Martin County. S. in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University in 2002. He then completed medical school at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, graduating in 2008. His Family Medicine residency took place at Brody School of Medicine and Pitt County Memorial Hospital, now Vidant Medical Center. During that training, he served first as Junior Chief Resident and then as Chief Resident, completing his residency in 2011.
After residency, Dr. Manning chose to return home to eastern North Carolina to serve the community he grew up in. He founded his direct primary care practice in 2014, now known as Cornerstone Family Medicine. Caring for the whole family drives his clinical passion. He holds membership in the American Board of Family Medicine, the American College of Pediatricians, and the Christian Medical and Dental Associations. He stays current in the DPC field by attending the NC Academy of Family Physicians Winter Conference and the annual DPC Summit. Outside the office, he is a devoted husband and father of three children. Above all, he describes a desire to serve The Lord Jesus in everything he does.
