Dr. Spencer IdsteinDr.

Dr. Spencer Idstein grew up in Louisville, attending St. Martha School and then Saint Xavier High School before heading to the University of Dayton. He earned his biology degree there summa cum laude and went on to the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society inducted him and he graduated at the top of his class.

He chose a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Those four years of dual training shaped his focus on primary care across every stage of life. After residency, he returned to Louisville to build his career close to home. Dr. Idstein believes knowing a patient, and often the whole family, is essential to delivering individualized care. Outside the office, he enjoys cooking, baking, hiking, kayaking, fishing, and spending time at the lake with his wife Crystal and their three children.
