Dr. Sandra Wilson grew up in Santa Barbara, where her father worked as a marine biologist at UCSB. A. S. in Biology at UCSB. She went on to Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit for her medical degree. Her clinical training continued in California, with an internship at California Pacific Medical Center and a residency in Internal Medicine at Mercy Hospital.
Dr. Wilson moved to Solvang in 1996 and built her first independent practice, which she ran from 1998 to 2008. She later served as a hospitalist and chief medical officer at a rural hospital in southern Oregon. She then joined the VA as an academic hospitalist, teaching residents and holding the rank of Associate Professor. She returned to Santa Barbara in 2015 at the VA primary care clinic before opening her Solvang concierge practice in May 2017. She holds board certification in Internal Medicine and earned Fellowship in both the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine through professional achievement.
