Dr. Rebecca DowneyDO

Dr. Rebecca Downey, DO is a board-certified family medicine physician and the physician behind Charlottesville Direct Primary Care in Charlottesville, Virginia. She completed her undergraduate degree at New York University, earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York.

With 28 years of practice experience, Dr. Downey treats patients ages 5 and up and has a special interest in menopause management, teens, and chronic disease. She performs osteopathic manipulation therapy (OMT) and approaches primary care as a collaboration between physician and patient, helping members navigate specialists, medication costs, and imaging. In her spare time she scuba dives, hikes, dances, reads, and cooks.
