Dr. Claire VeberMD

Dr. Claire Veber, MD is a board-certified family physician and the founder of Mount Pleasant Family Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia. She grew up in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, earned her undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina and her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina, and completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Virginia in 2006, followed by a one-year adolescent medicine fellowship in 2007.

Dr. Veber served for nine years as a faculty physician at the University of Virginia Department of Student Health, where she taught medical students and resident physicians, and she teaches an introduction to clinical medicine course in the UVA College of Medicine. Her interests include sports medicine, pediatrics, women's and men's health, and traveler's health. She chose the direct primary care model to spend more time getting to know her patients and their families. She is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
