Dr. Nikolaos Kanellopoulos grew up in a small seaside town in Greece and earned his medical degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2003. He completed a partial surgical residency in Greece before serving in the Greek Air Force. He moved to the United States in 2008, worked as a surgical assistant, then entered his Family Medicine residency at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago. He completed that training in 2012, earning the Intern of the Year Award in his first year and serving as Chief Resident in his final year.

After residency, Dr. Kanellopoulos moved to Florida's Space Coast. He practiced family medicine at the office and at Cape Canaveral Hospital, serving on the Medical Executive Committee and multiple other committees. In 2018 he founded Island Family Health on Merritt Island. He holds Diplomate certification from the American Board of Family Medicine. Beyond primary care, he has pursued extensive additional training in medical aesthetics, body contouring, hormone optimization, and weight loss.
