About

Dr. Neal Douglas grew up on a small farm in rural Boring, Oregon, and traces his passion for medicine back to high school medical mission trips to Africa alongside his father, Dr. Bruce Douglas. He attended Oregon State University for his undergraduate education and earned his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University. His residency training in Family Medicine took place at Providence Oregon Family Medicine, and he holds board certification in Family Medicine.

Dr. Douglas moved to the Hood River Valley with his family in 2014 and founded Heritage Family Medicine in 2017. His clinical range covers chronic disease management, diabetes, respiratory conditions, skin conditions, and urgent care, among many other areas. Outside medicine, he is an accomplished pianist and vocalist, an Eagle Scout, and an avid gardener. He and his wife Kristi have five children and keep busy skiing, mountain biking, and hiking throughout the Gorge. He also maintains his great-grandfather's 1965 Ford pickup and serves his church as a High School Youth volunteer and worship team member.
