About
Dr. Michael Kittell is a family medicine physician and the founder of Kittell Clinic in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born in Philadelphia, he grew up in Arkansas after his family relocated in the 1980s. Medicine ran in his family, and he knew early that he wanted to become a physician. He completed his family medicine residency through UAMS, training in both Fort Smith and Pine Bluff. After years in traditional primary care, he sought a fundamentally different approach and found it in Direct Primary Care. He opened Kittell Clinic full time on April 8, 2019.
Dr. Kittell holds certification as a SottoPelle MD for bio-identical hormone replacement therapy using pellet implants. SottoPelle recognized him for outstanding contributions to BHRT and quality patient care. The FAA designates him as an Aviation Medical Examiner, authorizing him to perform FAA flight physicals. He serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force as a Flight Surgeon. He also works as a tactical doctor and deputy sheriff for Faulkner County and participates in operations as a MEMS STAR Team member alongside the FBI, DEA, and local law enforcement. His clinical focus includes weight management, chronic disease, pain management, hormone therapy, FAA aerospace medicine, and medication-assisted treatment. A father and physician, he sees teaching as central to both roles. AY Magazine has named him one of its Best Healthcare Professionals in Family Medicine five years in a row.
