Dr. Lawrence Sher grew up in Huntington Beach and earned his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at UCLA, then pursued a fellowship in allergy, asthma, and immunology across both the UCLA Westwood and Harbor campuses. Those seven years of UCLA training gave research a central place in his clinical identity.

Dr. Sher holds board certification in adult and pediatric asthma, allergy and immunology, as well as in pediatrics. He carries fellowship status with the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, where he serves on the immunotherapy committee and the rhinitis and sinusitis committee.
