Dr. Lauren Bence earned her BS in Biology and Society from Cornell University in 2003 and her MD from SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine in 2009. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago in 2012 and spent six years working in emergency settings in Chicago after training. She moved to the Bay Area in 2019 and, during a break from clinical medicine, advised on medical travel repatriation and evacuations as a consultant.
