Dr. John Long Jr. grew up in Oklahoma, where his mother worked as a critical care nurse at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. He earned a BS in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry from the University of Oklahoma before completing his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He then trained in family medicine at St. Anthony Hospital, where he later served as residency faculty for a decade. His fellowship in advanced obstetrics at Swedish First Hill in Seattle added significant procedural depth; he has delivered nearly 1,000 babies.

Dr. Long holds dual board certification from the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He treats obesity, diabetes, hypertension, metabolic disease, chronic inflammatory disease, reproductive issues, and neurologic conditions. He is passionate about office procedures, women's health, lifestyle and nutrition, and the intersection of spiritual and physical health.
