Dr. Greg Strunk grew up in Huntingdon, PA, shaped early by a household steeped in medicine. His father practiced as a general internist before specializing in cardiology, and his mother worked as a registered nurse. S. in Natural Science with a minor in Education from Juniata College in 2000. He then entered a Master's Program in Biomedical Science at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, his father's alma mater, before completing his medical degree there in 2007.
He chose Altoona Family Physicians for his residency training, drawn by its rural medicine track and proximity to home. He completed his Family Medicine residency in 2010 and earned both Resident of the Year and Resident Teacher of the Year honors. C. Blair beginning in 2009 and co-founding Huntingdon Family Physicians as a satellite of UPMC Altoona Family Physicians. He later moved to Broad Top Medical in 2018. In June 2024, he launched Strunk Direct Care to bring evidence-based primary care back to Huntingdon on his own terms. He is passionate about prevention, holistic wellness, and building lasting relationships with his patients. Outside of medicine, he enjoys soccer, skiing, and the outdoors, and he shares family life in Huntingdon with his two children.
