Dr. Elizabeth SuperMD, FAAP

Pediatrics

at Living Water Pediatrics — Charlotte, NC

About

Elizabeth Super, MD, FAAP, grew up in Pennsylvania and has called North Carolina home since her undergraduate years at Davidson College, where she graduated with a BS and earned Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa honors. Her interest in medicine took root in childhood, shaped by time spent with her grandfather, a family physician. That early influence pointed her toward preventive medicine and the doctor-patient relationship. She earned her MD from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 2007, receiving the Pediatric Merit Award, and graduated as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. Her pediatric residency at Levine Children's Hospital ran from 2007 to 2010.

After residency, Dr. Super practiced primary care pediatrics across both well and sick care in the Charlotte area. Becoming a mother of three informed how she approaches her work. She recognizes that parenting asks a great deal of families, and she sees her role as a steady, knowledgeable partner for parents navigating their children's health. Personal experience with chronic illness led her to investigate root causes rather than symptoms, and she began clinical training in functional medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine in 2020. She joined Living Water Pediatrics to practice relationship-driven, holistic care. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, cooking, exploring Charlotte's greenways, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Penguins with her husband Jay and their three children.
