About
Diana Roberson, MD, IBCLC, FAAP, grew up in Charlotte and attended North Carolina State University, where she earned two degrees summa cum laude: a BS in Biological Sciences and a BA in Spanish. During college, she spent time in Central America doing medical mission work, an experience that deepened her commitment to healthcare. She earned her MD from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 2007, receiving the Gold Humanism Honor Society award for outstanding patient care. Her pediatric residency at Levine Children's Hospital ran from 2007 to 2010, after which she practiced the full spectrum of pediatrics in private practice.
Becoming a mother changed how Dr. Roberson thought about pediatric care. She pursued lactation consulting training, earning her International Board Certified Lactation Consultant credential in 2012 and renewing it in 2017. Her passion for understanding chronic illness rather than managing its symptoms drove her to complete board certification through the Institute of Functional Medicine in 2018. She founded Living Water Pediatrics to make pediatric care personal and straightforward. Her clinical interests include breastfeeding support, gut health, nutrition, and root-cause approaches to chronic disease in children. At home, she enjoys cooking, world travel, art, and outdoor activities with her husband Matthew and their two daughters, Elia and Lucia.
