When his children grew up and relocated, he and his wife Lori moved to the DFW area. He spent several years in Emergency Medicine before returning to family medicine and opening Covington Family Health. Beyond clinical work, Dr. Covington has done medical mission work in northern Belize and in a small village in Tanzania. In 2015, he and Lori founded African Christian Ministries, a 501(c)(3) organization supporting the people of East Africa.
