Dr. Alison Iser founded Wiser Primary Care after more than two decades of practicing family medicine across diverse clinical settings. She completed her medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine after earning her undergraduate degree in Religious Studies from Brown University. Her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Kentucky included a year as Chief Resident. She also trained as an intern at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and later completed a Faculty Development Fellowship at the University of Kentucky. She holds additional training in Structural Acupuncture for Physicians from Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Iser chose Family Medicine for its whole-person perspective and its breadth across all disciplines of medicine. She is passionate about lifestyle medicine, women's health, perimenopause and menopause care, and chronic disease management. Her clinical philosophy centers on the power of lifestyle to produce meaningful health changes. She practices evidence-based medicine and integrates holistic modalities where appropriate.
