The physical covers a comprehensive laboratory panel testing more than 50 measures, thyroid function, urinalysis, and a cardiac treadmill stress test. Depending on age and gender, the exam may also include carotid intimal media thickness ultrasound, coronary artery calcium scanning, mammogram, pap smear, PSA prostate screening, DEXA bone density, and abdominal aortic ultrasound. Colonoscopy is recommended starting at age 50.
No. All results from an executive physical remain fully confidential. The practice does not share results with employers under any circumstances. Executives receive their test results and a written physician summary by mail within a few days of the exam.
