Tolbert Medicine also offers a quarterly payment option for patients who prefer to spread the cost. Most patients see Dr. Tolbert two to four times a year, so the fee typically covers all care for the year.

Patients who need more than eight in-office visits pay $50 per additional visit. On occasion, Dr. Tolbert may administer a flu shot or other medicine as a convenience, and she may ask patients to reimburse the direct cost of those supplies. There are no up-charges beyond the actual cost of such services.

Tolbert Medicine holds no formal arrangements with any insurance carrier and does not participate as an in-network provider. PPO plans integrate well with the practice, and patients may submit an itemized receipt to their insurer for potential partial reimbursement of the annual fee. The practice does not file insurance claims on behalf of patients, but Dr. Tolbert's team assists with questions.

Many patients use their Health Savings Account to pay the $1,500 fee. The fee covers the medical services of wellness planning, an executive physical, diagnostics, screenings, and counseling. Dr. Tolbert has opted out of Medicare billing to protect her patients and practice from coverage restrictions. Medicare does not pay any portion of the $1,500 annual fee. However, opting out does not limit Dr. Tolbert's clinical services. She still orders tests, prescribes medicines, and makes referrals for Medicare patients. Working with Dr. Tolbert also does not limit a patient's ability to see other Medicare-participating physicians.

Yes. Every patient at Tolbert Medicine receives Dr. Tolbert's direct mobile number and email address. Patients can call, text, or email her at any time. Phone and email consultations are a standard part of the practice.

Yes. Dr. Tolbert keeps her panel at approximately 350 patients, which allows her to offer same-day availability. Appointments also start on time. A 9AM appointment begins at 9AM.

Tolbert Medicine performs urinalysis, strep throat testing, flu testing, blood sugar testing, hemoglobin testing, pulmonary function testing, hearing tests, and electrocardiograms. Dr. Tolbert also draws blood on-site and sends samples to an outside laboratory the same day. The practice does not provide x-rays or on-site diagnostic imaging.
