Direct care at Solstice Health & Wellness is designed for adults seeking outpatient addiction care without the limitations of traditional insurance-based medicine. Patients pay a monthly fee for comprehensive specialized care, without co-pays or insurance requirements. In turn patient receive unlimited access to essential addiction medicine, mental health, primary care, and lifestyle support services including routine visits, same-day or next-day acute care visits, telehealth, medication management, annual wellness exams, and preventive care.

Solstice Health & Wellness does not bill or participate with Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurance plans. Direct Care is not insurance and does not replace health insurance coverage. Fees are discussed in advance, with no hidden charges. Patients may use their health insurance to cover fees related to labs, imaging, referrals, specialists, hospitals, and other services not covered under Direct Care.

Solstice provides outpatient treatment for alcohol, opioids, kratom, 7-hydroxy products, tianeptine, cocaine, amphetamines, methamphetamine, cannabis, benzodiazepines and other sedatives, tobacco/nicotine, gambling, and other substance use and addictive disorders.

Medication options may include prescribed or administered buprenorphine medications such as Suboxone, Sublocade, and Brixadi; naltrexone or Vivitrol; clonidine or lofexidine (Lucemyra); and other medications used to reduce withdrawal symptoms, cravings, or substance use.

Yes. Solstice provides outpatient withdrawal management for appropriate patients who can safely complete withdrawal outside a hospital or residential facility. Some forms of withdrawal can be medically dangerous and require a higher level of care.

Yes, buprenorphine may be considered for some patients with dependence on kratom, concentrated 7-hydroxy products, tianeptine, or other substances with opioid-like effects.

Naltrexone is available as an oral medication and as Vivitrol, a monthly extended-release injection. Both are FDA-approved for alcohol use disorder, while Vivitrol is also FDA-approved to help prevent recurrence of opioid use after opioid detoxification. Naltrexone may also be used off-label with evidence supporting its use for gambling disorder. Extended-release injectable naltrexone (Vivitrol) combined with oral bupropion may be used for amphetamine-type stimulant use disorders, including amphetamine and methamphetamine.

Yes. Solstice provides gradual tapering of benzodiazepines and other sedative medications when appropriate. The dose and pace of the taper is individualized according to the medication, dose, duration of use, withdrawal history, and co-occurring conditions.

Yes. Solstice can help you stop Suboxone by working with you on a plan that supports your goals. It is important to understand that shorter-term treatment, particularly less than a year, is associated with a higher risk of returning to opioid use. Even after a stable period of maintenance, roughly two-thirds of people experience opioid use, overdose, or a return to medication within 18 months after tapering off. The weeks immediately after stopping appear especially high-risk, and the increased risk can persist for months.

The best approach involves making sure you have been substance free; are medically, emotionally, and socially ready to taper; and choosing a method that fits your needs. Options may include gradually tapering Suboxone or transitioning to extended-release buprenorphine such as Sublocade or Brixadi and tapering from there. The goal is to minimize withdrawal and cravings while reducing the risk of returning to opioid use.

Yes. For some patients, long-acting buprenorphine injections may provide a transition from daily Suboxone. Because medication is released gradually from the injection depot, buprenorphine levels decline over time after injections are stopped.

Yes. Substance use and mental health conditions frequently affect one another, so evaluating them together can provide a clearer understanding of what is happening. Solstice integrates treatment for conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other psychiatric concerns.

Yes. Medications for mental health conditions may be prescribed as part of your treatment when appropriate.

Yes. Solstice provides individual and group counseling for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. Counseling can be combined with medication treatment, medical care, and other recovery support services.

Solstice uses evidence-based approaches including brief interventions, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), relapse prevention, 12-Step facilitation, contingency management, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), behavioral activation, mindfulness, and other interventions.

In addition to addiction treatment and mental health care, integrated primary care includes preventive care, annual physicals, acute or urgent care for many common illnesses and minor injuries, chronic disease management, medication management, common in-office procedures, and referrals when specialty care is needed.

Yes, same-day or next-day appointments for acute care visits are available for established patients based on availability. Patients also have direct access to their care team by phone, text, and email for communication outside scheduled visits.

Solstice treats many chronic health conditions commonly seen in people with substance use disorders, including high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, liver disease, hepatitis, HIV, asthma, thyroid disorders, chronic skin conditions, insomnia, weight concerns, hormone imbalances, and other ongoing medical conditions.

The medical weight loss program at Solstice Health & Wellness starts with a comprehensive history, physical exam, body composition analysis, and laboratory evaluation. A weight management plan addresses nutrition, physical activity, sleep, medications, substance use, metabolic health, and medical conditions that may affect weight. Treatment may include lifestyle changes and medication when appropriate.

Yes. GLP-1 and related medications may be prescribed when appropriate as part of medical weight management. Your physician will discuss available options, expected benefits, potential side effects, and alternatives.

Hormone symptoms are evaluated in the context of your medical history, medications, substance use, sleep, weight, mental health, and other factors that can produce similar symptoms. Because these factors are often reversible, laboratory testing is used to confirm the cause before treatment is considered.

Yes. Testosterone can be affected by substance use, certain medications, biological conditions, and aging. Testosterone replacement therapy is available for patients with a confirmed clinical indication and appropriate monitoring during therapy.

Yes. Telehealth visits are available when appropriate and provide additional flexibility when coming to the office is not practical.
