The DPC membership at Saffron Health costs $125 per month for adults 18 and older. A one-time, non-refundable enrollment fee of $100 applies at sign-up. Patients who commit to an annual membership receive a 5% discount. The practice requires 30 days notice to cancel membership.

The monthly membership covers in-person office visits, telehealth visits, follow-up care, in-house tests, and procedures such as EKGs and pap smears. It also includes communication of lab and test results, specialist referral and coordination, and direct access to Dr. Donthu via email, phone, and text. Labs and imaging fall outside the membership fee but are available at discounted cash prices.

Saffron Health does not accept insurance for membership fees or functional medicine services. The practice accepts cash, check, credit card, Zelle, and HSA and FSA cards. Patients who need documentation for reimbursement can request a superbill. Saffron Health currently enrolls Medicare patients.

The Functional Medicine program runs separately from the DPC membership on a pay-per-visit basis. It begins with a free 15-minute consultation to assess fit. A 90-minute initial consultation follows, covering health history, lifestyle factors, lab reviews, and wellness goals. Subsequent follow-up visits run 60 minutes. Dr. Donthu builds a personalized plan with targeted supplement protocols, nutrition guidance, and lifestyle interventions.

Yes. Saffron Health members can participate in both programs at the same time. Primary care members receive a special discount on Functional Medicine services. They also receive unlimited free access to the patient portal and direct communication with Dr. Donthu throughout the functional medicine program.

Saffron Health offers same-day or next-day appointments for members. Standard appointments run 30 to 45 minutes without the time pressure typical of conventional office visits. Members can also reach Dr. Donthu directly via email, phone, or text without going through a phone tree or staff intermediary.

Yes. Telehealth visits are included in the DPC membership. Dr. Donthu conducts video appointments and communicates with patients directly through multiple channels. Telehealth availability makes it easier for members to get timely care without an in-person visit.

Saffron Health serves adults 18 years and older. The practice currently enrolls Medicare patients as well.
