The practice offers same-day or next-business-day appointments for most concerns. Dr. O'Mara schedules longer appointment blocks so she can address all of your questions thoroughly. She also accommodates early morning or end-of-workday visits Monday through Friday on request.

Dr. O'Mara provides her personal cell phone number to all members for urgent after-hours needs. She asks that you contact her before heading to a hospital or urgent care center whenever possible. For life-threatening emergencies, call 911 first.

Dr. O'Mara coordinates personalized hospital care for members at Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Downtown Chicago and Streeterville campus. She communicates directly with hospitalists and specialists involved in your care. Members benefit from having a physician who already knows their full health history advocating for them during a hospital stay.

Yes. Dr. O'Mara conducts end-of-life counseling visits with patients and their families. She helps navigate complex medical decisions during serious illness or injury and works to ensure patients and families feel informed and supported.
